Course Overview: The AMAT Course (which stands for Allergy & Anaphylaxis Medication Administration Training) covers medication administration skills that can help you prevent asthma and allergy emergencies. This course covers over-the-counter oral liquid and over-the-counter oral tablet medications, metered-dose inhalers and EpiPen epinephrine auto-injector. This course was formerly called EMAT.

Warning: You are not authorized to administer medications to children using the skills covered in this course until you have successfully completed both AMAT Part 1 (online) and AMAT Part 2 (in the classroom). You must complete both parts 1 and 2 to earn an official AMAT Certificate, which certifies you to administer the medications covered in this course.
Admission Requirements: Proof of current CPR/First Aid certification is required for admission to AMAT Part 2. A valid AMAT Part 1 Completion Certificate is also required for admission to AMAT Part 2. AMAT Part 1 Completion Certificates are valid for 6 months.
