All part 1/online courses on the MAT Online Learning Center were reset on February 1, 2026 to resolve a user enrollment issue. If you completed a part 1/online course prior to February 1, 2026, you were already issued a completion certificate. If you need a copy of your completion certificate, please email matsupport@medhomeplus.org. If you started a part 1/online course prior to February 1, 2026, BUT DID NOT COMPLETE IT, you must re-enroll and start over, per the website alert that was posted from December 30, 2025 to January 31, 2026. Course Overview: The MAT Independent Study (MAT IS) Course covers administering oral liquid and tablet medications, inhalers and nebulizers, ear and eye medications, topical medications and EpiPen epinephrine auto-injector.
Warning: You are not authorized to administer the medications covered in this course to the children in your care until you have successfully completed both MAT IS Part 1 (online) and MAT IS Part 2(in the classroom with an approved MAT Trainer). You will not earn an official MAT Certificate until you complete and pass both parts 1 and 2.
Admission Requirements: Current CPR/First Aid Certification and a valid MAT IS Part 1 Completion Certificate are the admission requirements for this course. MAT IS Part 1 Completion Certificates are valid for 6 months. If you do not complete MAT IS Part 2 within 6 months of taking MAT IS Part 1, you will be required to take MAT IS Part 1 again.
