All part 1/online courses on the MAT Online Learning Center were reset on February 1, 2026 to resolve a user enrollment issue. If you completed a part 1/online course prior to February 1, 2026, you were already issued a completion certificate. If you need a copy of your completion certificate, please email matsupport@medhomeplus.org. If you started a part 1/online course prior to February 1, 2026, BUT DID NOT COMPLETE IT, you must re-enroll and start over, per the website alert that was posted from December 30, 2025 to January 31, 2026. Course Overview: The MAT Seizure Rescue Nasal Spray Courseprovides instruction on administering the Valtoco and Nayzilam seizure rescue nasal spray devices. Providers who successfully complete and pass this online-only course will earn a MAT Seizure Rescue Nasal Spray Completion Certificate.
Manual Enrollment Required: Given the serious medication safety and abuse risks associated with administering seizure rescue nasal spray, only providers who hold a current MAT Certificate, MAT First Renewal Certificate, or MAT Epilepsy Certificate are eligible to take this online course. To request enrollment, click the green Customer Service Link in the Need Help? section of this website. Please provide your first name, last name and email address, and select Register Me for the MAT Seizure Rescue Nasal Spray Online Course as the type of issue. Once your registration request has been received, the MAT Program Office will verify your prerequisite certification and notify you by email once you've been enrolled in this course, if eligible. Please email matsupport@medhomeplus.org if further clarification is needed.
Prerequisite Requirement: The MAT Seizure Rescue Nasal Spray Completion Certificate alone DOES NOT authorize you to administer seizure rescue nasal spray to children in your care. Providers holding a MAT Seizure Rescue Nasal Spray Completion Certificate must also hold current MAT Certification (either a MAT Certificate or MAT First Renewal Certificate) or current MAT Epilepsy Certification to be authorized to administer seizure rescue nasal spray.
Warning: You are not authorized to administer seizure rescue nasal spray to children in your care unless youhold a current MAT Seizure Rescue Nasal Spray Completion Certificate andcurrent MAT Certification (either a MAT Certificate or a MAT First Renewal Certificate) or current MAT Epilepsy Certification.
Important Course Information: The online-only MAT Seizure Rescue Nasal Spray Course is graded on a pass/fail basis. You will only get two attempts to pass with a 70% or higher. If you do not pass this online course, you will be required to take the MAT Epilepsy Course (both MAT Epilepsy Part 1 and MAT Epilepsy Part 2) in order to gain authorization to administer seizure rescue nasal sprays.
