Course Overview: This annual refresher training in medication administration is ONLY available to staff working in accredited private schools. Please consult your regulatory representative to determine if this annual refresher is required/meets your workplace requirements. This is an online-only course. A certificate will be issued once this online course has been completed.

Purpose: This is a refresher course, not a recertification or renewal course. This refresher can be taken annually, if you are currently certified, in between your 3-year certification period. This refresher provides the opportunity for certified private school staff to reinforce their knowledge and competence in medication administration key concepts.

Prerequisite Certification: To be eligible to take this annual refresher, you must hold current MAT Certification or MAT First Renewal Certification.

Additional Requirements: This online course is being provided as a convenient way to meet any annual refresher requirements you may be subject to. For more information on your specific workplace requirements, please contact your regulatory representative at the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE).

Important Notice: This annual refresher is NOT for childcare providers working in programs licensed and regulated by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).
